How It Works

How Egocentric Video Collection Works

Launch a first-person video task yourself and start receiving footage of real tasks, without long negotiations.

Person at a laptop writing egocentric video filming instructions
01 · Create

Describe the task to film

List the activity, the steps, the camera position and the length you need. Add an example clip so workers see the exact point of view you expect.

  • Activity and steps to perform
  • Camera position and length
  • Example clip for reference

02 · Target

Choose countries and volume

Select the countries your contributors should come from and how many clips you need. Different homes, tools and habits make your model work beyond the lab.

  • Any number of countries in one task
  • Different homes and workplaces
  • You set the total volume

03 · Film

Contributors film from their own point of view

Workers mount their phone on their chest or head, keep both hands free and record the task from start to finish in their own environment.

  • Phone on a chest or head mount
  • Both hands visible and free
  • Full task from start to finish

04 · Review

Approve only the clips that fit

Watch every submission, approve the footage that meets your requirements and reject the rest. Keep your dataset clean from the start.

  • Watch every clip
  • Approve or reject each submission
  • Clean data for training
Egocentric Data Types

Types of Egocentric Video You Can Collect

Set up a task for the exact activities your robot or model needs to learn. Contributors film them from their own point of view.

Household Chores

Cleaning, laundry and tidying up

Contributors film themselves wiping tables, folding clothes, loading dishwashers and putting things away. Teach home robots how real chores are done.

  • Everyday chores you choose
  • Real homes, not studios
  • Full task from start to finish

Kitchen and Cooking

Real cooking from the cook's point of view

Workers record preparing simple meals, washing produce, opening packages and using kitchen tools. Rich hand movements with many different objects.

  • Simple, safe recipes
  • Many tools and ingredients
  • Local kitchens by country

Hand-Object Interaction

How hands grasp, move and use things

Contributors pick up, open, turn, pour and place everyday objects as you describe. Close-up footage for grasping and manipulation models.

  • Your own list of actions
  • Close view of both hands
  • Many object shapes and sizes

Tool Use

Simple repairs and assembly, step by step

Workers film assembling furniture, tightening screws, changing batteries or fixing small items. Show models how people use tools in real life.

  • Safe, simple tools only
  • Step-by-step actions
  • Real objects and parts

Packing and Sorting

Sorting, packing and organizing items

Contributors sort laundry, pack boxes, organize shelves or group items by type. Useful for logistics, retail and warehouse robotics.

  • Sorting rules you define
  • Boxes, bags and shelves
  • Repeatable short sessions

Clips With Step Descriptions
in One Task

Ask contributors to list the steps they performed with approximate times. You get footage with action labels, ready for annotation or training.

Submission

Each submission arrives with the first-person video and a list of steps with approximate times, ready to review and approve.

  • Video and step list in one submission
  • Worker country on every submission
  • Approve or reject each clip
Targeting

Target the Right Contributors

Choose where your footage comes from and tell contributors exactly how to film. Every submission comes from a different person and place.

Countries and regions

Accept workers from all countries or pick specific ones by continent or individually. Capture how homes, kitchens and tools differ in each market.

Contributor requirements

Describe who should take part in your instructions, such as owning a phone mount, a type of home or a specific appliance. Reject submissions that do not match.

Example clips

Upload a reference clip that shows the camera angle, distance and pace you expect, so contributors get the point of view right the first time.

One contributor, one submission

Each worker can complete your task only once. Set the number of submissions you need and get footage from that many different people and homes.

Quality Control

Quality Control You Stay in Charge Of

You decide what counts as a good clip and review every submission before it joins your dataset.

Privacy

Privacy at Home Comes First

Egocentric video is filmed in private spaces. Every task follows clear rules, and every clip comes from an adult who chose to take part.

Purpose stated in every task

Your task description explains what people will film and that the videos will be used to train AI. Workers read it before they accept.

Only the contributor in frame

No other people, no children, no documents, screens or addresses may appear. Clips that break these rules are rejected.

Voluntary participation

Nobody is assigned to your task. Each adult worker decides to take part and uploads their videos on their own.

Pricing

Estimate Your Egocentric Video Cost

You set the pay per task. Longer filming needs a higher pay rate. Adjust the numbers to see what your project will cost, with the 15% platform fee included.

$

Minimum pay is $0.10 per task. Need more footage later? Extend the same task instead of creating a new one.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Egocentric video is footage filmed from a person's own point of view while they do a task, with their hands in view. It is used to train robots, physical AI and world models to understand how people interact with objects.

Workers attach their phone to a chest or head mount so both hands stay free, then record the task from start to finish. You can require a mount in your instructions.

You decide in your instructions. Short clips of one to ten minutes are easiest to film, upload and review. For longer sessions, split them into several clips.

You set the pay for each task, starting from $0.10, plus a 15% platform fee. Longer filming and mount requirements need a higher pay rate so workers take the task. A campaign starts from $0.30.

Yes. Ask contributors to list each step they performed with an approximate start time, and every submission will include both video and text.

Your instructions must state that only the contributor may appear and that children, other people, documents, screens and addresses stay out of frame. Reject any clip that breaks these rules.

You can accept workers from all countries or choose specific continents and countries when you create the task.

Describe the resolution, frame rate, orientation and lighting you need in your instructions, and add an example clip to show the result you expect.

Yes. Extend your existing task instead of creating a new one. Workers who already took part still cannot submit again.
